Walleye in the fall
Today I went for a quick expedition with my buddy Mike. We drove up to the Lac Saint Louis area, near Dorval, maybe a 20 minute drive from my house.
We fished from 9:15 to 12:00 and caught 29 walleyes. We only kept 10 "pan sized" ones.
While we were cleaning the fish we noticed they had been eating tons of baby rock bass, the biggest ones were the size of a small thin fin.
All the fish were caught vertical jigging with 1/2ounce ball jigs and blood core 3 inch soft plastic grubs.
The fish is definitely positioned for winter now. If you have a fall/winter spot, and you live in the Montreal area, you may want to go and enjoy some serious action before it ices over.

Hi Marc,
My friend is "dying" to go walleye fishing but is not to keen on a boat. He would prefer the shore but I can convince him to go on a boat.
Can you tell me hotspots around the island of Montreal to go walleye fishing?
Thanks
Paolo

Hello Marc, can you please recommend me a good spot near Millenium park in Dorval for walleye fishing. Thanks a lot!
Fish along the channel in Dorval, you will need a boat though.
You could also fish off the pier in lachine.
