Fishing Resolutions for 2006
4 Big Resolutions for this year:
1. Fish more often. I bought a nice big boat to go fishing, and sadly I have been fishing very rarely. I think I took the boat out only 4 or 5 times this last season.
2. Get a spot at the marina. I think th ereason for item 1 is that I have to take the boat out of the garage (tight spot!) and do a number of things to go fishing. If the boat was actually waiting for me to hop in at the local marina, things would be different.
3. Ice fishing - focus on the better spots. Last year I spent a lot of time at this local spot (Brossard). Very cloe to home, but except for the occasional small sauger, not much walleye action there. I will spend more time on Lac Saint Louis and Lac Saint Pierre.
4. More big outings with the guys. I love to take a weekend and take off with my friends. we do it every year. I just want to do a little more of it this year.

Hi Marc,
I would like to link to your post about the Gouin Reservoir. I have a new site called fishyvacations.com. I didn't see another way to contact you. If you will, please email so that I can get your permission to do the link.
Thanks,

Hi Marc, I've Enjoyed reading your post. Lot's of places to fish for Big walleye on the south shore but the canal is not always productive. If you have a boat try the islands near the lafontaine tunnell

My in laws spent alot of time in Brossard also and were only successfull once for Walleye fishing. We have a cabin on Lac St-Louis and it is an excellent place for ice fishing. We have always had good catches their in the winter and summer.
